Plagiarism Policy
• The journal is committed to the standards of academic integrity. Among its terms and regulations, plagiarism is considered a violation and contrary to the ethics of scientific research.
• The journal uses a plagiarism detection system approved by the University's Research and Consultancy Center, which is an advanced system (Turnitin) to ensure the originality of all submitted research.
Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is any copying from another scientific work without referencing it or the source from which it was taken. This includes plagiarizing an entire research paper and presenting it as new work, or translating work from another language and attributing it to the researcher without mentioning the translation source.
Acceptance Criteria:
• The permissible similarity percentage in the plagiarism detection program must be less than 30%.
• Exceptions to this include: titles and scientific terms.
Detection Procedures:
• All research papers are processed through the plagiarism detection software upon initial submission.
• The researcher is notified with a detailed report from the plagiarism software, showing the similarity percentage and the matching sources.
• The paper is rejected if the similarity percentage exceeds the allowed limit.
Documentation Policy:
Authors must:
• Cite all sources used according to the journal's style guide.
• Use clear quotation marks for any text copied verbatim.
Penalties for Plagiarism:
In case plagiarism is discovered:
A. Before Publication:
• The paper is rejected and prohibited from publication.
• The author's affiliated institution is notified.
• The author is banned from future publication in the journal.
B. After Publication:
• The paper is retracted and prohibited from being republished in any other journal.
• The author is notified of this action.
Researchers' Right to Appeal:
• The researcher may submit a request explaining any unintended similarity present in their paper.
• The researcher can reformulate their paper anew in case a technical error occurred.
Awareness and Publishing Guidelines:
• Guidelines are provided at the beginning of each issue, explaining how to cite references and write the paper, including font type and size.
• Ready-made templates are provided for writing in both Arabic and foreign languages.
Authors' Responsibilities:
• To verify and review the research thoroughly before submitting it for publication.
• To keep drafts of the research to enable review in case of any deficiencies upon publication.
• To inform the journal's committee of any omissions or additions that are identified after publication.
