Abstract

This research aims to clarify the commercial role of the State of Western Tripoli in the African slave trade, from North and Central Africa through the countries of the southern Mediterranean basin to the countries of the northern basin, as well as the effects of this trade on the state. The study also seeks to propose solutions that may help compensate those affected by it. The researcher reached a number of findings, including that most of the slaves were young people of both sexes.
