This study aims to explore the impact of open access to electronic information resources on enhancing research productivity among faculty members at the Faculty of Arts, Elmergib University. With the rapid development of information and communication technologies, open access has become a crucial factor in reshaping academic systems by providing free and unrestricted access to scientific resources. The research focuses on assessing the level of awareness and utilization of these resources and their role in supporting and improving the quality of scientific research. The study employed the descriptive-analytical approach, collecting data from a sample of 87 faculty members through structured questionnaires. Statistical analyses were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the available resources and the challenges associated with their use. The findings revealed a moderate level of awareness among faculty members regarding the importance of open access. Despite the potential benefits, such as cost reduction and increased dissemination of research outputs, several challenges were identified, notably the lack of technical infrastructure and weak administrative support.
